On August 22, 2008, at 3:30 a.m., officers
from the Los Angeles Police Department
arrested Jeffery Wayne Langford, who is
suspected of committing a series of
residential robberies. Langford is believed
to be responsible for the recent residential
robberies which occurred in the 2300 block
of 22nd Street and the 1200 block
of Ashland Avenue, in Santa Monica, as well
as up to a dozen more robberies in
neighboring cities. Detectives from the
Santa Monica Police Department worked with
detectives from the Los Angeles Police
Department, which led to L.A.P.D.’s arrest
of Langford in the city of Los Angeles.
Langford, 53 years old, is a Los Angeles
resident. He is currently being held on
$1,475,000 bail.
