The Santa Monica Police
Department will be conducting a Sobriety /
Driver license check point on August 23,
2008. Funding for this program was provided
by a grant from the Office of Traffic
Safety, through the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration. Officers from the
Santa Monica Police Department will be
contacting drivers in the 2600 block of Main
Street in the City of Santa Monica to
confirm their sobriety and driver license
status. This is the sixth of several check
points to be conducted over a twelve month
period.
The Santa Monica Police
Department reminds drivers, if you plan on
drinking, have a designated driver or call a
taxi cab to take you home safely. For more
