p.m., officers from the Santa Monica Police
Department responded to a report of shots
fired in the area of the 2000 block of Court

succumbed to his injures. The deceased
victim was later identified as Byron Lopez,
a Gardena resident who was 28 years old.
The two suspects are only described as
African Americans.
