On
October 26, 2002, at 10:09 p.m., Santa Monica Police responded to
the 2000 block of the beach regarding a call of shots fired.
When officers arrived they found the body of a female who
suffered several gunshot wounds to the upper body.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses
reported that two males wearing dark clothing were seen running from
the area of the shooting. The
victim (F/B, 19) has been identified however her name has not been
released pending notification of next of kin.
The
Robbery / Homicide Unit of the Santa Monica Police Department is
handling the investigation. Anyone
