On Sunday, May 11, 2008, at
11:30 p.m., officers from the Santa Monica
Police Department responded to the 1900
block of 20th Street regarding a
report of a subject lying unconscious on the
sidewalk. Paramedics from the Santa Monica
Fire Department were summoned and
transported the subject to a local
hospital. The subject appeared to be the
victim of an assault and was later
identified as Santa Monica resident Preston
Brumfield.
There is no suspect
information at this time.
