On March 30, 2008 at
approximately 1:00 a.m., Santa Monica Police
officers responded to a report of a traffic
accident in the 2600 block of Ocean Park
Blvd.
When officers arrived they
found a sport utility vehicle in the 2600
block of Ocean Park that had evidently
collided into a large tree in the center
median of Ocean Park Blvd. The driver, a
38-year old male, was ejected from the
vehicle and died at the scene. At this
time, it does not appear that any other
vehicle was involved in the accident.
Investigators from the Santa
Monica Police Department Major Accident
Reconstruction Team (MART) responded and are
investigating the accident.
The investigation is
