HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
March 17, 2008

On Sunday, March 16, 2008, at 6:10 pm Officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Centinela Avenue and found the resident dead inside her apartment. It appears the victim died as a result of an assault. It is unknown how long the victim had been dead prior to being discovered. The Los Angeles County Coroners Office will determine the cause of death.

The Police Department received a telephone call from the decedent’s mother, who had been unsuccessfully trying to contact her daughter by phone. The victim has been identified as Juliana Redding. Redding is 21 years old.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with additional information is encouraged to call the Santa Monica Police Department at (310) 458-8427 (24 hours) or call Detectives at (310) 458-8451 (M – F, 8 AM – 5 PM).
