SUSPECT WANTED FOR RESIDENTIAL ROBBERY
AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
September 28, 2007
 
 

On Friday, September 28, 2007, at 2:20 A. M., patrol officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Princeton Avenue regarding a radio call of residential robbery and sexual assault. When the officers arrived they contacted the victim who said that she had arrived home Thursday night at 10:00 P. M. and discovered that her house had been ransacked. She was immediately confronted by the suspect who was armed with a knife. The suspect tied up the victim and sexually assaulted her.

At 2:10 A.M. in the morning, the suspect took the victim’s ATM card and fled in her vehicle which is described as a tan convertible 2003 Mercedes Benz SL 500 with California license plate number 5JLM188. Below is a photo of a similar looking vehicle:

After the suspect fled, the victim untied herself and ran to a neighbor’s house and called the police. The victim was taken to a local hospital where she is in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a Male, Hispanic, 5’5”, medium build and wearing a blue shirt with writing on the front, blue pants and black shoes.

The Santa Monica Police Department would like to encourage residents to remain vigilant, lock doors and windows, set burglar alarms, and report any suspicious activity to the police.
