On August 2, 2007 at approximately 1:30
a.m., Officers from the Santa Monica Police
Department responded to the 1500 block of
the Santa Monica Beach regarding a possible
stabbing victim at that location.
Upon arrival, officers discovered three
stabbing victims. All victims were
transported to a local hospital for
evaluation and treatment. Two of the
victims were released a short time later
while the third underwent surgery for a stab
wound to the chest. At this time, this
victim is in serious condition and expected
to fully recover from her injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed that
two groups were involved in a fight in the
1500 block of the beach. Prior to the
assault, one of the suspects yelled what is
thought to be the name of street gang before
stabbing a 29-year old female from Los
Angeles. During the fight, two other adult
victims (a male and female also from Los
Angeles) sustained stab wounds to their
extremities.
The investigation is ongoing. The suspects
are described below:
Suspect #1:
Female/Hispanic/17-20 years old, 5”, 130lbs,
black hair, brown eyes; wearing a white
shirt and jeans.
Suspect #2: Female
/Hispanic/17-20 years old, 5’1”, 135lbs,
black hair, brown eyes; wearing a burgundy
sweatshirt.
Suspect #3: Female
/Hispanic /17-20 yrs, 5’1”, 100lbs, black
hair, brown eyes; wearing a white tube-top
blouse, blue jeans and blue LA Dodgers
jacket.
Suspect # 4: Female /
Hispanic, 17-20 years old, short in stature;
no further description.
A red Toyota and a grey
colored vehicle were seen leaving the area
shortly after the assault.
