SHOOTING SUSPECT ARRESTED (UPDATE)
July 27, 2007
 
 

On Friday, July 27, 2007, at 5:30 A.M., Detectives from the Santa Monica Police Department’s Office of Criminal Investigations and from the Office of Special Enforcement served three search warrants at three different locations recovering evidence that may have been used in a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of 11th street on July 15, 2007, in which 4 people were shot. One of the suspects involved in this shooting was also arrested. Several handguns, magazine clips and ammunition were recovered during the execution of the search warrants.
 

 
Search warrants were served in Pacific Palisades at residences located in the 17000 block of Posetano Rd. and in the 17000 block of Porto Marina Way. A third search warrant was served in the 900 block of 6th street in Santa Monica. 

Information developed as a result of this investigation led to the arrest of Morgan Neidlinger, male, white 20 years old; he is a resident of Pacific Palisades. Neidlinger was arrested at a residence in the 900 block of Cloverdale Avenue in Hollywood. Neidlinger was transported to the Santa Monica jail where he was charged with four counts of attempt murder and assault with a deadly weapon. His bail is set at $2 million dollars.

This is an ongoing investigation and other suspect(s) are being sought.
