On Sunday, June 3, 2007, at approximately 8 A.M., Santa Monica Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of Palisades Park regarding a subject who was lying on a park bench adjacent to the Senior Citizen Center with blood on his face and passed out. When the officers arrived they determined that the subject was dead. Although this is an on-going murder investigation, it appears that the victim had died as a result of blunt force trauma that he received to his head. Pending the notification of next of kin, the victim’s identity is not being released. The victim is believed to be homeless and is described as a Male White 37 years old.
