On February 4, 2007, at 03:04 am, Santa Monica Police responded to the 1500 block of Pacific Coast Highway regarding shots fired in the beach lot. Upon arrival, officers located two juveniles that had been shot. One victim was struck in the stomach, the other victim in the right leg. The victims reside in El Monte. The victims were transported to local hospitals where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
While en route to the incident, officers located a suspect vehicle driving eastbound on the Santa Monica freeway. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested eight occupants inside of the vehicle. A firearm was also located inside of the vehicle. The suspects are from Pacoima. Names of the suspects are not available at this time.
