On January 24, 2007, at 3:10 p.m. Santa Monica Police responded to the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Euclid Street regarding a traffic collision with injuries involving a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was traveling westbound on Santa Monica Boulevard.  The pedestrian was crossing Santa Monica Boulevard in a marked crosswalk when the vehicle struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified. The driver of the vehicle was interviewed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
