On December 14, 2006, Detectives from the Santa Monica Police Department arrested Gil Salazar Verastegui (M/H 22 years old and a Santa Monica resident) for the December 2, 2006 shooting incident which occurred in the 1900 block of alley 17. The case has been presented to the District Attorney’s Office.  Verastegui has been charged with several counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
