THEFT OF ATM MACHINE
 
December 7, 2006
 
 

On December 6, 2006, at 10:40 p. m. Officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to 1776 Cloverfield Blvd. (Exxon mini mart / gas station) regarding the theft of an ATM machine. 

Witnesses stated that a female suspect had purchased gas and then walked into the store. After a few minutes, she walked out of the store and waved to a male suspect who was driving a truck. The male suspect then drove his truck into the Exxon min mart building, dislodging the ATM machine. The male suspect then took the ATM machine containing an unknown amount of currency. Both suspects then fled in the vehicle that the female had driven to the location. The truck that was driven by the male suspect was left at the scene. There were no reported injuries.

The female white suspect is described as being in her mid 20’s wearing a grey sweater. The male white suspect is described as being in his 30’s, 6’1, 160 lbs and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect vehicle is described as possibly a green 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. 

Anyone having information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Robbery/Homicide unit of the Santa Monica Police Department at 310.458.8451 or the Watch Commander’s Office at 310.458.8427.  Callers who wish to provide anonymous information may also call the We-Tip national hotline at 1.800.78.CRIME (27463).  Callers with information that leads to an arrest and conviction become eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
