DRIVER'S LICENSE / SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT

On Friday, September 15, 2006, the Santa Monica Police Department will be conducting a Driver’s License and Sobriety Checkpoint in the 3200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.   The checkpoint is in accordance with a State of California – Office of Traffic Safety grant in support of the “You Drink & Drive.  You Lose” national campaign.  The goal of the campaign is to reduce the number of victims killed and injured in alcohol-involved crashes in cities participating in the program.
