On April 25, 2006, at 10:50 am, Santa Monica Police responded to the 600 block of Washington Ave. regarding an attempted kidnapping. When officers arrived they spoke to the victim who said the suspect drove past her and stopped his vehicle.  The suspect walked up to the victim and grabbed her and attempted to pull her into his vehicle. The victim was able to get away and called police.  The suspect fled in his vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Male, Hispanic, in his 50’s, being 5’5 in height and weighing 140 pounds, having gray and black hair and brown eyes. The suspect had a medium complexion, no facial hair, having heavy red acne on his cheeks and a large nose with a circular scar on the bridge.  He was wearing a light blue short sleeve shirt, black jeans with a metal belt buckle with the word “Salvador” or “El Salvador”, and blue and white tennis shoes.  The suspect spoke both in English and in Spanish.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a Newer large SUV, similar to a Lincoln Navigator, white in color with stock rims.  The vehicle had dark tint on the back windows and a small white wooden cross hanging on the rear view mirror.
