On
August
28,
2005,
at
1:58
a.m.,
Santa
Monica
Police
responded
to
Pico
Blvd.
and
11th
Street
regarding
a
call
of
shots
fired.
When
officers
arrived
the
two
subjects
shot
were
transported
to a
local
hospital.
While
officers
were
conducting
this
investigation,
they
were
contacted
by
Los
Angeles
Police
Department
who
had
two
subjects
reporting
that
they
were
involved
in
an
assault
in
Santa
Monica.
Preliminary
investigation
indicates
that
all
parties
involved
have
been
identified
and
this
incident
may
be a
mutual
combat/self-defense
situation.
One
person
sustained
a
gunshot
wound
to
his
leg
and
the
second
subject
sustained
gunshot
wound
to
the
upper
torso.
Both
subjects
were
transported
to a
local
hospital.
Two
additional
subjects
are
being
interviewed
regarding
this
incident.
