MURDER SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED
July 29, 2005
 

This afternoon, on July 29, 2005, detectives from the Santa Monica Police Department presented a completed investigation for filing consideration to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.  After review the District Attorney’s office filed charges and issued felony arrest warrants for three suspects in connection with the murder of Hector Bonilla and Jonathan Hernandez.  Both victims were shot on March 5, 2005, while attending a private party at the Moose Lodge located in the 1600 block of Ocean Park Blvd.

The three suspects are 18th Street gang members from Los Angeles. 

Suspect#1 - Jose Mojaro, Male, Hispanic 21, is in-custody

The two outstanding suspects are identified as William Vasquez, aka “Crook”, Male, Hispanic 25, of Los Angeles and Ector Hugo Sanchez Male, Hispanic 20, of Los Angeles, aka Eric Nunez and aka “Enemy”.  

Each suspect was charged with 2 counts of murder, with special circumstances (Life Without Parole/Death Penalty), gang enhancements, use of firearms during a gang crime and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
