On July 28, 2005, at 1:40 am,
Santa Monica Police responded to
the 1550 beach lot regarding a
call of shots fired. Responding
officers received additional
information that a victim from
the shooting was in the 1700
block of 4th Street.
Officers located one victim
(Male Hispanic 17 of Los
Angeles) in the 1700 block of 4th
Street and he was transported to
a local hospital with at least
one gunshot wound to the upper
torso. His condition is listed
as critical.
Preliminary investigation
revealed that the victim was
shot in the 1550 beach parking
lot. Additionally, Santa Monica
Police received information from
another hospital in Los Angeles
reporting a stabbing victim
(Male, Black, Adult of Los
Angeles). The stabbing occurred
in the 1550 beach lot and the
investigation is on going. The
victim was stabbed in the upper
torso and is in stable
condition.
Several suspects were arrested
and have been identified as
Suspect 1 is Marco Villalobos,
Male, Hispanic, 22 of Los
Angeles. Suspect 2 is
identified as Pedro Villalobos,
Male, Hispanic, 23 of Los
Angeles. Suspect 3 is a Male,
Hispanic juvenile who was
transported to a juvenile
detention facility. The three
suspects were booked of
attempted murder and gang
enhancement with no bail.
Additional suspects are being
sought that were involved in
this incident. The additional
suspects are described as Male,
Black 18-25 years of age.
