HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UPDATE
April 7, 2005
 
 

On April 7, 2005, the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office formally charged and issued an arrest warrant for a Male Hispanic juvenile in connection with the murder of Jalonnie Carter.  Mr. Carter was shot on September 2, 2003, in the 1800 block of 20th Street.

The juvenile 17years of age, of Santa Monica was booked at the Santa Monica Jail.  He was charged with one count of first degree murder, three counts of personal use of a gun causing great bodily injury, intentional discharge of a firearm. Because this incident is gang related, he was also charged with one count of gang enhancement.   The bail has been set at $2,000,000.00.
