On December 1, 2004, at 10:15 a.m., a Santa Monica Police Officer saw a suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of Franklin Ave.  Information on the license plate showed that this vehicle had been reported stolen from the 500 block of 20^th Street.   Officers conducted a surveillance of the vehicle and a short time later a female suspect approached the vehicle and opened the truck.  She was taken into custody, and led officers to another suspect who was in the 1200 block of Berkeley. Officers recovered stolen property taken in a commercial burglary in Santa Monica and an automobile burglary in Los Angeles.

Both suspects arrested where taken to the Santa Monica Jail and booked. The suspects are identified as Brandon Birchall, M/W 23 of Santa Monica and Tammy Kim, F/W 29 of Los Angeles.  Birchall was booked for burglary, auto theft, possession of stolen property, and felony probation violation for burglary. No bail.  Kim was booked for possession of stolen property and her bail has been set at $20,000.
