On
October 31, 2004, at
2:34 p.m., Santa Monica
Police Officers were
conducting a community
livability check at
Crescent Bay Park,
located in the 2100
block of Ocean Ave. when
they saw subjects
smoking in the park, in
violation of the
municipal code. During
their investigation, a
search was conducted and
officers recovered
methamphetamine packaged
for sale, and a loaded
semi-automatic handgun
in the suspect’s
possession.
This
suspect was arrested and
taken to the Santa
Monica Jail and booked
for possession of
narcotics with the
intent for sale,
possession of a loaded
firearm, felon in
possession of a loaded
firearm, and felony
probation violation.
The suspect was
identified as John
Joseph Donahue, M/W 23,
transient and has no
bail.
