ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON
September 19, 2004

On September 19, 2004 at approximately 3:45 a.m., officers responded to the 800 Pacific Street regarding an assault with a deadly weapon investigation.   When officers arrived they spoke to the victim who said that she was walking in the 800 block of Pacific Street, when the suspect’s vehicle and stopped parallel to her.  The suspect attempted to talk to the victim and when she looked toward the suspect, she saw the suspect pointing a handgun at her.   The victim turned away and began to run, when she heard a loud pop and realized that she had been shot in the right arm.  The victim was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.

 

The suspect is described as a Male, White, possibly European, late 20’s to early 30’s, having a thin long neck and round shoulders, oval shaped head with prominent features, light brown wavy/curly hair 1˝” to 2” in length, clean shaven with a large mouth, and a slight accent. The suspect was wearing a light gray “T” shirt. 

 

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a mid 90’s Toyota, possibly a Camry sedan with power windows, minor dents and scratches on the passenger side.   

 

Anyone having information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Santa Monica Police Department at 310-458-8491.  Callers who wish to provide anonymous information may also call the We-Tip national hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463).  Callers with information that leads to an arrest and conviction become eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
