LABOR DAY DUI CHECKPOINT
September 1, 2004

On September 3, 2004, the Santa Monica Police Department will conduct a “Sobriety Checkpoint” in the 2600 block of Lincoln Boulevard.  The checkpoint is in accordance with a State of California - Office of Traffic Safety grant.  The grant entitled “You Drink & Drive. You Lose” is part of a national campaign to reduce the number of people killed or injured in alcohol-related crashes.  Santa Monica Police Department reminds everyone, “Don’t risk it.  If you plan to drive, don’t drink.”
