SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY |

On July 25, 2004, at approximately 11: 00
p.m. there were a series of street robberies
and attempted street robberies in Santa
Monica and in West Los Angeles. The
description of the robberies had
similarities in the vehicle used and
suspect's descriptions.
At 11:46 p.m., Santa Monica Police Officers
saw the suspect's vehicle 3300 block of Pico
Blvd. The vehicle used in the robberies had
been reported stolen earlier. The suspect's
vehicle was followed to eastbound Santa
Monica Freeway, then to southbound 405
Freeway to Slauson, where a felony stop was
conducted.
Three suspects were taken into custody
without incident and a replica firearm was
recovered. One suspect was identified as
Astin Michael Alexander-Harris M/B, 19, Los
Angeles and the remaining two suspects were
juveniles, (one male and one female).
The investigation is on-going.
