| ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON

| On May 3, 2004 at approximately 9:20 p.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the 1800 block of 17th Street regarding a radio call of shots fired. Officers responded to the location and discovered the victim of a gunshot wound. The victim was uncooperative and refused to provide pertinent information regarding potential suspects and / or circumstances surrounding the shooting incident. |
| The victim was treated at the scene by Santa Monica Fire Department Paramedics and later transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the right leg. .

| Witnesses described a white vehicle, possibly a Nissan or Toyota, leaving the area shortly after the shooting. No further description of the vehicle is available at this time. |
