THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA OFFERS REWARD FOR
INFORMATION IN THE MURDER OF JALONNIE CARTER

| Chief James T. Butts, Jr., announced today that the Santa Monica City Council has approved a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible in the murder of Jalonnie Carter.

| On September 2, 2003, at 5:46 p.m., Jalonnie Carter was shot in the 1800 block of alley 20 and later died at a local hospital.
|
| It is our belief that a witness or persons with knowledge to this crime would be of assistance in bringing the killer or killers to justice.
|
