HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY

March 9, 2004

On March 7, 2004, at 1:20 A.M., Santa Monica Police responded to the 800 block of Ashland Avenue regarding a woman screaming and shots fired. When officers arrived they found a male adult deceased in front of an apartment door. The victim had been shot multiple times. The victim was identified as Gabriel Edward Becerrada, M/H 38 of Santa Monica. Becerrada was recently released from State Prison and was on parole.

After an extensive investigation by Santa Monica Police Detectives, several suspects have been arrested and booked for murder. The suspects have been identified as Sandra Alfaro F/H, 34 (Becerrada’s girlfriend), her 17‑year‑old son and his friend, Luke Yeron M/W 19. All of the suspects are SM residents. The two adult suspect’s bail has been set at $1,000,000.
