  Press Release Feb. 23 2004: Assault on LA Police Officer
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON ON A LOS ANGELES POLICE OFFICER
February 23, 2004
 
On February 23, 2004, at 5:54 a.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the intersection of 6th Street and Pico Blvd. regarding the termination of a Los Angeles Police Department vehicle pursuit with shots fired.
Los Angeles Police Department requested the assistance from Santa Monica Police Department regarding the allegation of the assault of a deadly weapon against L.A.P.D. officers. Santa Monica Police Department will be conducting a criminal investigation regarding the alleged assault with a deadly weapon. Once the investigation is completed it will be submitted to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Santa Monica Police Department was not involved in the vehicle pursuit or the shooting.
