| On February 23, 2004, at 5:54 a.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the intersection of 6th Street and Pico Blvd. regarding the termination of a Los Angeles Police Department vehicle pursuit with shots fired.

| Los Angeles Police Department requested the assistance from Santa Monica Police Department regarding the allegation of the assault of a deadly weapon against L.A.P.D. officers. Santa Monica Police Department will be conducting a criminal investigation regarding the alleged assault with a deadly weapon. Once the investigation is completed it will be submitted to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
