On
Wednesday, September 24, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., Santa Monica Police
stopped a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of Yale Street. This
vehicle was stopped in the area of Montana Avenue and Yale Street, in
the City of Santa Monica.
During
the preliminary field investigation, officers recovered evidence
inside the suspect’s vehicle that was related to an earlier
residential burglary that occurred in the City of Los Angeles.
The
suspects were arrested and taken to the Santa Monica Jail. The
suspects have been identified as Bruce Campbell M/B 24, of Los
Angeles. He was booked for burglary and felony probation violation, no
bail. Clayton Henderson, M/B, 18, of Los Angeles was booked for
burglary and felony probation violation, no bail.
Brandon Robinson, M/B, 21 of Los Angeles was booked for
burglary and his bail was set at $75,000.
On
Wednesday night, September 24, 2003, Detectives from Santa Monica
Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department served two
search warrants related to recent residential burglaries that occurred
in the Santa Monica and Los Angeles areas. Additional evidence was
recovered during the search warrants linking the suspects to these and
other crimes. Detectives from Santa Monica are working with other law
enforcement agencies regarding this arrest.
On
September 25, 2003, the District Attorney’s Office filed several
counts of burglary and other related crimes against all three
suspects.
