HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

On September 2, 2003, at 5:46 p.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the 1800 block of alley 20 regarding several calls of shots fired.  When officers arrived they located a male victim lying on the sidewalk in the 1800 block of 20th Street with a gunshot wound. Santa Monica Fire Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he later died.

The victim’s identity is not being released, pending notification of the family.  The victim is described as a Male Black.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Robbery/Homicide Unit of the Santa Monica Police Department at 310.458.8451 or the Watch Commander’s Office at 310.458.8426.
