On
May 22, 2003, at Santa Monica Police arrested a suspect involved in
the recent shooting in the Pico Neighborhood.
The suspect was arrested in area of his father’s residence in
the 1800 block of 17th Street.
After the arrest, a search warrant was obtained and served.
A firearm and approximately 100 rounds of live ammunition were
recovered during the search. The
suspect has been identified as Terrence Brown, M/B 23 of Santa Monica. He was booked for assault with a deadly weapon and
outstanding warrants. His
bail has been set at $53,000.
On
May 23, 2003, Santa Monica Police Department conducted several
searches in Santa Monica related to the recent shootings in the
Pico-Neighborhood.
The
first search was conducted at 8:00 a.m., in the 1900 block of 17th
Street. After the
completion of the search, the resident identified as Richard De La
Cruz M/H 30 of Santa Monica was arrested and charged with probation
violation. Evidence was recovered at the scene linking the suspect to
the recent shootings in Santa Monica.
De La Cruz’ bail has been set at $12, 500.
A
second search was conducted at 8:00 a.m. in the 1400 block of 11th
Street. After completion
of the search, the resident identified as Richard Hernandez M/H 19 of
Santa Monica was arrested for probation violation.
Hernandez has no bail.
