On
March 19, 2003, Santa Monica Police Detectives arrested a suspect who
was wanted in connection with a sexual assault that occurred on March
14, 2003, in the 1200 block of 21st Street.
The
suspect arrested has been identified as Darryl Renard Jackson, M/B 28,
of Los Angeles.
He is currently being held in Los Angeles County Jail and has
no bail.
The
case has been filed with the Los Angeles District Attorney. Suspect
Jackson has been charged with Residential Burglary and Rape along with
numerous associated offenses. Arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday,
March 25, 2003. The District Attorney will be asking that bail be set
at $2,000,000.00. Jackson, a registered sex offender, is also facing
charges of violating his parole.
