February 27, 2003, Santa Monica Police Department Detectives served 10
search warrants in Los Angeles County area related to the
disappearance of Kristine Louise Johnson.
Information from the police department’s tip line provided
information that was used in seeking these search warrants.
Detectives
also received viable and strong leads from the tip line that have
caused investigators to focus on an individual depicted in the
composite. The detectives
are waiting for evidence to be analyzed by the Los Angeles County
Sheriff’s Crime Lab before any identification will be released.
Evidentiary issues will not be discussed because of the pending
investigation.
Detectives
will continue working on potential leads provided by the tip line.
