On February 21,
2003 at approximately 5:46 p.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the
intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Harvard Avenue regarding a
traffic accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
A
preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle, traveling
westbound on Wilshire Blvd, struck a vehicle that was making a right
turn onto Wilshire Blvd from southbound Harvard.
The traffic collision resulted in serious injuries to the
motorcyclist. The
motorcyclist, M/W/71 and resident of Santa Monica, was transported to
a local hospital for his injuries.
The
driver of the vehicle, a resident of Los Angeles, was interviewed at
the scene and released pending further investigation.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
