On
October 29, 2002, at 12:23 p.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the
800 block of Ocean Avenue regarding a dead body.
When officers arrived they located a victim and confirmed that
she was dead. The victim
is described as a female white.
On
October 31, 2002, an autopsy was performed by the Los Angeles County
Coroner’s Office. The cause of death was deferred pending
additional investigation and toxicological test results.
The
investigation is on going and the victim has been identified. The
victim's name has not been released pending notification of the next
of kin.
The
Robbery/Homicide Unit of the Santa Monica Police Department is
handling the investigation. Anyone
