On
August 24, 2002, at 11:00 p.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the
2700 block of Kansas Ave regarding shots fired.
When officers arrived they spoke to victim. The victim said that he was driving westbound on Kansas Ave.
when he saw the suspect’s vehicle behind his vehicle. The victim got out of his vehicle and the suspect exited his
vehicle and fired one shot in the victim’s direction. The suspect got back into his vehicle and drove out of the
area. Officers assigned
to the Pico Neighborhood Task Force as well as the beat officers
conducted a search of the area and they were unable to locate any
evidence.
The
suspects are described as: Suspect 1 - Male, Hispanic, 20-25 years of
age, having short black hair wearing a white short sleeve shirt.
Suspect 2 – Male Hispanic, 20-25, having brown hair.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a 1960’s Chevrolet,
Camaro, dark in color having front-end damage.
