On
August 9, 2002, at approximately 9:55 A.M., Santa Monica Police
responded to the Four Points – Sheraton Hotel located in the 500
block of Pico Boulevard regarding a man with a gun.
A hotel employee observed two men walking through a hallway of
the hotel. One of the men
was armed with a handgun.
Responding
officers conducted an interior search of the hotel for the suspects.
Hotel guests and employees were temporarily placed at the Santa
Monica Civic Auditorium during the search.
The suspects were not found within the building and the search
concluded at approximately 5:00 P.M.
Suspect
# 1: Male, Hispanic, 28-years old, 5’7” tall, 180 lbs., moustache.
Wearing a white T-shirt w/logo, Blue Jeans, blue baseball cap,
and white tennis shoes. He
was armed with an unknown caliber handgun.
Suspect
# 2 : Male, African–American,
31-years old, 5’6” tall, average build, moustache.
Wearing a white T-shirt w/ logo, black baseball cap. No further
description.
The
investigation is on-going.
