On
July 31, 2002 at 8:39 a.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the area
of 17th Street and Delaware regarding calls of shots fired. As officers were responding to the area, the Police
Department received a call from the 2300 block of 17th
Street, approximately ½ miles away from the original location,
regarding a bullet that struck a window at a pre-school.
Officers responded to the pre-school and immediately determined
that no one was injured and recovered evidence from the location.
When
officers arrived at 17th Street and Delaware they located
several shell casings in the alley.
Officers were unable to locate any victims of this crime.
Suspects
possibly related to this shooting are described as two (2) Males
Hispanics and the suspect’s vehicle is described as an unknown year
Brown or Rust Mini-Van.
