SHOTS FIRED

On May 30, 2002, at 10:15 p.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the area of 17th Street and Delaware Ave. regarding a call of shots fired.    When officers arrived they spoke to a bystander who saw the suspect’s vehicle drive southbound on 17th Street in the 1800 block.  The suspect’s vehicle stopped and several shots were fired.   An unoccupied parked vehicle sustained minor gunshot damage. No injuries were reported.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a newer dark colored SUV with tinted windows.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Robbery/Homicide Unit of the Santa Monica Police Department at 310 458-8451 or the Watch Commander’s Office at 310-458-8426.
