SHOOTING INVESTIGATION 
  
September 13, 2001
  
Incident# 01-65010
  

On September 12, 2001, at approximately 10:55 P.M., Santa Monica Police officers responded to the 1800 Block of 17th Street regarding a possible shooting in-progress.  The officers discovered an 18-year old female victim with a minor gunshot wound to the forearm. 

Witnesses saw an unknown suspect fire shots from a white vehicle traveling north in the 1800 block of 17th Street.  Witnesses describe the vehicle as a 1990s white Honda Accord with tinted windows.  After firing, the suspects drove northbound on 17th Street.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for a graze-wound to the arm.

The investigation is on-going.

Suspect description:
3 Male Hispanic or African Americans, wearing bandanas. No further description at this time.
