On Thursday, October 19, 2006 at about 8:00 a.m., two girls, aged 10, were walking to school in the 2800 block of 4th Street when a man driving a pick-up truck attempted to engage them in conversation.  When the girls’ mother, who was walking a short distance behind, tried to intervene in the conversation, the man quickly drove away east on Ashland Ave.  He was seen a few minutes later in the 300 block of Ashland driving slowly while looking at two young girls who were also walking to school.   He was again seen driving in the area at about 9 a.m. on Friday morning.

The suspect is driving a newer black Chevy S10 Pick-up truck with gold “Chevrolet” lettering on the tailgate.  The pick-up has a partial California license plate 4V376 - -   He is described as a White, male, early 40’s, short sandy blond hair, wearing a light-colored short sleeved shirt, with dark aviator style sunglasses worn on his forehead.
